🔹 Mechanism of action

Lenvatinib inhibits multiple receptor tyrosine kinases involved in tumor proliferation and angiogenesis, including vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR). By blocking these pathways, the drug:

  • suppresses tumor cell growth

  • inhibits formation of new blood vessels supplying tumors

  • reduces tumor progression

  • may slow metastatic spread

This targeted mechanism allows selective interference with tumor signaling pathways.


🔹 Indications

Prescribed as part of oncological therapy for certain malignancies, including:

  • differentiated thyroid carcinoma refractory to radioactive iodine
