Description
Fingomod® is a prescription medicinal product containing the active substance fingolimod, belonging to the class of selective immunosuppressants. It is used for the treatment of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) and is designed to reduce abnormal immune activity that damages the myelin sheath of nerve fibers in the central nervous system.

🔹 Active Ingredient
Fingolimod hydrochloride equivalent to fingolimod 0.5 mg per capsule.
🔹 Mechanism of Action
Fingolimod binds to sphingosine-1-phosphate receptors on lymphocytes and:

traps lymphocytes in lymph nodes

prevents their migration into the central nervous system

reduces inflammatory processes

slows demyelination and nerve damage
This helps decrease relapse frequency and slows disability progression in patients with multiple sclerosis.
🔹 Indications
Prescribed by a physician for:

relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis

active forms of MS when first-line therapy is insufficient

swallow capsule whole with water
