Description

Atominex® 10 mg (atomoxetine) capsules is a medication indicated for the treatment of ADHD and is used in children over 6 years, adolescents, and adults as part of a comprehensive therapy program that may include behavioral, psychological, and educational interventions.

Composition and Dosage Form:
Active ingredient — atomoxetine 10 mg per capsule.
Dosage form — hard gelatin capsules for oral use.
Pack size — 28 capsules.

Mechanism of Action:
Atomoxetine selectively inhibits norepinephrine reuptake in the central nervous system, increasing its concentration in synapses. This helps improve attention, concentration, behavioral control, and reduces impulsivity and hyperactivity symptoms. The medicine is non-stimulant and has no addictive potential.

Indications:
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children ≥6 years, adolescents, and adults.

Dosage and Administration:
Taken orally with water, with or without food. The dosage is determined individually by a physician. Therapeutic effect usually develops gradually over several weeks.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to components; severe cardiovascular disorders; concurrent use of MAO inhibitors; narrow-angle glaucoma; pheochromocytoma.

Possible Side Effects:
Decreased appetite, nausea, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, sleepiness or insomnia, dry mouth, mood changes, increased blood pressure and heart rate.

Precautions:
Regular monitoring of blood pressure and pulse is recommended. Use cautiously in patients with liver disorders. May affect reaction speed. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if prescribed by a doctor.

Drug Interactions:
May interact with antidepressants, cardiovascular drugs, and medicines metabolized via CYP2D6 enzyme.

Store below 25°C in a dry place out of reach of children.
