🔬 Mechanism of action:

Eltrombopag is a selective thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist that:

• stimulates proliferation and differentiation of megakaryocytes
• increases platelet production in the bone marrow
• helps restore normal platelet levels in the blood

🩺 Indications:

• Chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP)
• Thrombocytopenia in patients with chronic hepatitis C
• Severe aplastic anemia
• Supportive therapy in oncology-related thrombocytopenia (including after chemotherapy)

💊 Dosage and administration:

• Initial dose: 50 mg once daily
• Taken orally
• Dose should be adjusted individually depending on platelet count
• Maximum dose may reach 75 mg or higher as prescribed by a physician

• take on an empty stomach or with low-calcium food
• avoid simultaneous intake with dairy products, antacids, calcium/magnesium/iron supplements (interval 2–4 hours)
